Alasdair is a Director at NorthStar Ventures, a regional venture capital firm located in the NorthEast of England, which is focused on investing in early stage high growth companies. Alasdairis focused on technology investments, particularly IT and telecoms, and his recent investmentsinclude Palringo, Antix Labs and Eutechnyx. Prior to NorthStar, Alasdair spent four years with TheCambridge Gateway Fund, an early stage technology and life sciences fund, based in Cambridge, UK.
Before moving into the venture capital market, Alasdair spent nine years in risk management,primarily in the Investment Banking industry, culminating in a position managing the EmergingMarkets Credit Risk function at CIBC World Markets Plc. Alasdair holds an MBA from Ashridge and aBA (Hons) from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
