George is a seasoned entrepreneur in Telecoms and technology. He has more than 20 years international experience in Telecoms and has held senior management positions with leading telcos in USA, UK, Greece and Italy.
Since 2008, he was involved in a number of advisory roles with small-medium companies in the areas of mobile advertising and marketing, fixed-mobile convergence and new multimedia propositions for a SIM manufacturer.
He has also assumed the CMO position for Mavenir Inc, Dallas TX (interim role) and VP of Telecom & Media for Velti Plc (interim) where he played a pivotal role in listing the company in NASDAQ.
In 2006, he became group Marketing VP for T-Mobile International where he oversaw the development of new customer propositions. In 2004, he was general manager for ofoto Inc in Europe the first online/mobile photo-albuming service which was later acquired by Kodak Inc and renamed to Kodak photo gallery.
In 1994 he had joined Ericsson where he held various roles from technical operations to sales and account management for Vodafone global. George started his career in the Hellenic (Greek) Air Force as a commissioned officer and his specialty was electronic engineer. After he served NATO forces for 8 years in Europe and USA he left the military forces with the rank of major.
George holds a BSEE from Hellenic Air Force Academy and MBA from UC Berkeley-La Verne, Ca USA. George now lives in St Albans, UK with his wife and three children.
