Jude is President and co-founder of Heyzap – the largest online distribution network for games. Heyzap distributes social games to websites like Myspace, Ning, Hi5 and their network of 350,000 sites. Based out of sunny San Francisco, Jude takes an interest in all things entrepreneurial.
Jude went through the Y Combinator programme in 2009, raised venture capital twice from Union Square Ventures and notable angels. Jude was born in London, UK and attended University of Cambridge where he graduated with Honors in Engineering and Management. Jude also mentors for Seedcamp, speaks at industry conferences and has angel invested in Indinero.
In 2006 during his final year of University he started Sugar Global, a digital photo frame brand, making sales to UK stores including Harrods, Selfridges, Amazon and Firebox.com. Sugar products were featured in the What Hi-Fi Magazine’s Expo 2007. After Sugar Global, Jude Gomila went on to found the charity gaming site Help Thirst in contract with Worldvision.
Jude was the first undergraduate of Cambridge University to become a finalist in the Cambridge University Entrepreneurs 50k business creation competition with a redesign of a kidney dialysis technology. In 2004, Jude was awarded the Technology Partnership Award for excellence in Design while at Cambridge University and in 2005, the IBM EMEA Top Student Award.
