Justin currently serves as a Director of Penny Black, a seed and early stage venture capital firm based in New York, with offices in London. Through Penny Black and its new seed fund, BOLDstart Ventures, Justin has led investments in a wide range of web-based, mobile/social/media investments (for a list, see http://angel.co/justpw). Justin is also a Partner at InVenture, a new micro-finance organization looking to disrupt the current funding model in developing countries.
Before Penny Black, Justin launched several startups with mixed success, the most recent being A Dozen Trees, a platform to help small businesses in managing their philanthropy. Justin received his BA from Harvard University, and is currently pursuing an MSc at the University of Oxford.
