Most recently, Mathen was Co-Founder of Storage Genetics Inc, a venture backed Semiconductor and IP Licensing Company developing ASIC’s and storage memory solutions for the Wireless and Consumer Electronics markets. As Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Mathen was responsible for Go-To-Market Planning and Strategic Partnerships up until a successful acquisition in 2010.
Prior to this Mathen has managed International Sales and Business Development for various Memory and Semiconductor companies focused on the Wireless, Consumer and Medical Electronics markets. He has also acted as a consultant and advisor to companies in the Mobile Advertising, and Music/New Media markets.
Mathen has a BEng in Microelectronics and Software Engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and an MSc in Telecommunications from University College London.
