Nabeel Mardi, has been a leading mobile expert for over 20 years. He started his mobile career with Psion PLC (the founders of Symbian and the Series 3 & 5 handheld device) working in the data communication division (Dacom) leading its product management teams. He then went on to join T-Mobile, where he held both national and international roles. In 2005, Nabeel became International Vice President of Strategy and Innovation and then soon after was made responsible for the development and delivery of mobile devices across Europe, managing several multi-million Euro projects including the first Android based device in Europe.
Nabeel has also actively worked with and supported several startups helping them develop and productise their offerings ready for mass market introduction. Prior to working in the mobile industry, Nabeel was an analyst in the banking industry.
Nabeel Mardi is currently Managing Director of Innovation & Development Strategy Services (IDSS), a company that provides institutions with analysis and advice on delivering mobile phone services and technology. In his spare time, Nabeel provides his views on developments in the market on MobileNewsBlog.co.uk. Nabeel holds and MSc in Data Communication and is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
