Applications for Springboard closed just over 2 weeks ago, from which we have been overwhelmed by over 230 applications from the UK and overseas.
We have the unenviable task of trying to select 10 teams from the applications and there will be a significant number of teams who will be disappointed. Non selection should not be considered as a negative, but just non selection. We are working with relatively limited information and extremely short time scales. We have no doubts that many of those start-ups which we have not selected will go on to do great things.
We will be emailing all the applicants later today, to let teams know whether they have been shortlisted. We will be speaking directly to all the teams shortlisted before we make the final selection.
To provide some insight as to the applications which we received, outlined below is a breakdown of geographic location of the teams.
